Tolarian Community College Trans Lifeline Fundraiser 2026

Hello, traders!

One of the most amazing things about the Magic: The Gathering community is when that community rallies behind a cause and demonstrates just how powerful The Gathering can be. Over the past few years, The Professor of Tolarian Community College has harnessed that power to turn his yearly fundraiser benefiting Trans Lifeline into a cultural touchstone for Magic players, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

How We’re Participating in the Trans Lifeline Fundraiser

As in the past, our parent company, Space Cow Media, is donating directly to the cause, but this year we’re joining the fray in a way that only Cardsphere can.

One of the most unique features about Cardsphere is that you can participate in the site and community without ever spending money. Rather than taking out your credit card, you can use the Magic: The Gathering cards you already own to upgrade decks, bling out your favorite commander, finish your cube, or make something entirely new, all funded by cards you don’t want.

What if we applied the same philosophy to charitable giving and allowed our users to participate in this event just by trading? It’s with that spirit in mind that we’ve decided that, beginning Friday, February 6^th through February 8^th, 2026, Cardsphere will be donating any and all trade fees collected to the Tolarian Community College Trans Lifeline Fundraiser.

Our users will, of course, still retain the same trade value as you would any other day, but sending a card out this weekend means that 3% of the trade value (our fee) will be donated to the event on behalf of the Cardsphere community, all powered by the Magic cards you already own!

As in years past, if you reach out to us with a screenshot of a donation of any size, we will gift your account 30 days of Cardsphere Premium, and donations of $50 or more will earn you a year of Cardsphere Premium!

But that’s not all; there are thousands of dollars in prizes up for grabs that you are eligible to win by donating directly! To see a list of prizes, follow The Professor’s Bluesky post that will be updated with prizes donated by members of the Magic: The Gathering community.
