Users Share Their Haul from 2025 Cardsphere Secret Santa

Nick Wolf • January 21, 2026

We're in the throes of a post-holiday winter now, but for Cardsphere users there's still time to look back and bask in the warmth of the annual Secret Santa tradition.

Every year, Cardsphere users participate in the random gift-giving during December, sending and receiving all manner of interesting and unique Magic cards and paraphernalia. The Secret Santa event of 2025 has passed, but users have been posting their mailday mirth.

With a $20 limit, users got creative, which resulted in some truly memorable packages this year. Take a look:

Some Final Fantasy cards received by Real Life Druid.

A collection of singles (with some extras) received by CS user NothingGold.

A handful of cards, some signed by their artist and some signed by others, received by CS user nicnax96.

CS user Sketchy received a few green cards along with a note.

Magic cards and more, with a hand-written note too - posted by CS user Cythare.

Magic cards along with few Chicago-themed patches, received by CS user Lee.

CS user Hamilton received this collection of items, which included a hand-drawn Christmas Karn.

And some weren't Magic-related at all, but still served as a perfect gift:

A Discworld compendium and sushi catnip toys, posted by Evan.

A bag of specialty coffee received by CS user tonsoccr. In fact, several users received coffee in addition to other gifts this year.

A few retro game cartridges received by CS user supertux29.

Cardsphere's own, Efren, got in on the fun too, receiving a gift tailored to his own heart.

In total, the 2025 Edition of Cardsphere Secret Santa had 92 participants, with more than half - 51 total - partaking in the tradition for the first time.

This year, the closest pairing was a whopping zero miles - by random chance, two users residing at the same address were paired together. Conversely, the most distant pairing was approximately 10,000 miles apart, with a user in Victoria, Australia pairing up with another user in Massachusetts, USA.

Beyond the USA and Australia, participating users hailed from the UK, The Netherlands, and Canada.

Be sure to keep an eye out next holiday season to get in on the action. But in the meantime, happy trading!
