Site Update: Sealed Products Overhauled to Follow Market Price
Seal of Doom | Art by Ralph Horsley
Hello traders,
Today we’re delivering a massive improvement to Cardsphere: sealed product is being overhauled to follow a market price, just as cards do!
TL;DR
- Beginning today, sealed product on Cardsphere will follow a market-based index price
- Your existing wants for sealed product will need to be updated
- Wants/Marketplace listings with no limit/floor have been paused
- New sealed products are being added
- Sending and selling of sealed product is now free for all users
Following the Market
Sealed product has always been a black eye for Cardsphere. It was half paywalled, and pegged to MSRP, partly because of a lack of sealed pricing at the time, and partly because we did not have the development time to make it happen. That’s all changed as of today, and sealed products will now follow market prices and behave the same way that cards do.

As of now, most if not all booster boxes and booster pack listings on Cardsphere will no longer be pegged to MSRP and should reflect the new index price.
We have quite a bit of manual mapping to do for Secret Lair specifically, as many of the names had small differences that are preventing them from being auto-mapped, but that work is already underway. So soon, individual Secret Lair drops should be set to a market price as well.
Update Your Wants
Since almost every sealed product gains value over time (sorry Aetherdrift fans), this change will force most existing offers on Cardsphere to hit their price limit, which means they will need updating if you don’t want to be filtered out of the Send page. For users that had existing Wants that had no price limit, we have paused those Wants to prevent overpaying.
Conversely, Marketplace participants that are dealing in sealed will want to check how their previously existing floor compares to the new index price. For marketplace listings with no floor, we have paused those listings to prevent underselling.

New Sealed Products Incoming
The development of this update has also allowed us to add a slew of new sealed product that has never been available on Cardsphere. This includes items such as Intro Decks, Planeswalker Decks, sealed Box Topper packs, Promo packs, Prerelease Kits, and even booster box cases. It’s pretty much all on the table now, but this will take a few days, if not a week or two, to get added, as we want to be careful to make sure everything lands in the right place and we don’t cause any collisions if we picked up duplicate products by mistake.
But rest assured, if it’s a Magic product that exists, we want you to be able to trade it on Cardsphere.

We Are Aware of the Missing Cards Sealed Product
Right now, there is a lot of sealed for us to sort through and get added, but if we're missing something in particular that you'd like to trade, please let us know by reaching out to us via any of the contact methods in the footer, and we'll do our best to get it added. Most of the sealed that has already been added will have images, although many of them will be imperfect. This is something we're aware of and are working to improve!
