The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride | Art by Johan Grenier

We're approaching the end of May 2026, and it seems like Jund () is growing in popularity. Today's list is filled with four great cards that sit within that color identity, which are all rising in price and playability.

Join me as we jump into the Sphere of Influence and take a look at a few cards that work perfectly with a lot of popular archetypes.

Immolating Gyre - $5

We're kicking things off today with Immolating Gyre, a red sorcery that can act as a one-sided board wipe. Spellslinger decks have been on the rise since Secrets of Strixhaven's release, which has made this Jumpstart mythic all the more valuable. If you have a Commander list that can consistently load up its graveyard by turn six, then this card is right for you.

The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride - $7

A legend that's been climbing in price over the last few weeks is The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride from Outlaws at Thunder Junction. This is another addition to a long line of cards that have risen in value because of a new precon. It specifically works well in the deck helmed by Dina, Essence Brewer, while also getting an additional bump, thanks to all the new sacrifice-matters cards we've gotten recently. If you've been thinking about building around this commander, now might be the time.

Shinka, the Bloodsoaked Keep - $21

Next up, we have a legendary land that has always held a high price but that is consistently building in value right now. Shinka, the Bloodsoaked Keep is very useful since it enters untapped, counts as a historic permanent, and can give out first strike when you need it. There's also a version of this land that was reskinned as Helm's Deep, which could be the reason for the card's rising price, as players get ready for our return to Middle-earth.

Ancient Cornucopia - $9

We're finishing things up today with the green mana rock, Ancient Cornucopia. This artifact not only ramps you, but it also offers up some lifegain once each turn. Since we've gotten a lot of new cards that trigger when you gain life, having this card in your list makes it so you're synergizing with the rest of the deck while progressing your gameplan forward.

Until Next Time

Well, there you have it, four cards that are rising in playability and value right now, so if any of these look good enough to snatch up, be sure to add them to your "Wants" list here on Cardsphere. Or, maybe they've been sitting in your binder for a while, so why not throw them into you "Haves" and bring in some extra trading power!
