15 Most Valuable Cleric Cards

Clerics were first introduced in Magic’s debut set, Alpha, way back in 1993 with the beneficent Samite Healer leading the charge as the first Cleric in the game’s history. Since then, well over 600 unique Cleric creatures have been printed, many of them also bearing the Human type.

With that much history, there are bound to be a bevy of Clerics boasting a bountiful price tag on the secondary market. Let’s take a quick peek at the top 15.

15. Shadowborn ApostleSecret Lair Drop Bonus Card

Market Price: $80.49

14. Shadowborn ApostleSecret Lair Drop Bonus Card

Market Price: $83.60

While I don’t normally like to include duplicate cards on these lists, seeing that infinite copies of this Human Cleric card are allowed in decks, I think I can make an exception, especially due to the striking artwork and the disparate frames and printings of it found herein.

Being able to seek out any Demon card from your deck and placing it directly into play (not a Most Valuable Devil, mind you) by sacrificing six Shadowborn Apostles remains a pretty sweet deal despite this card debuting over 10 years ago in Magic 2014.

13. Kaalia of the VastTragic Romance Secret Lair Drop

Market Price: $93.55

Featuring strikingly sensual artwork courtesy of Abigail Larson, this 2025 Secret Lair rendition of this Mardu () Human Cleric is the most valuable by far, though a Modern Horizons 3 version with gorgeous artwork from Livia Prima also tips the scale above $40.

Still, it can’t compete with this limited-release, romance-themed Secret Lair version, and it’s easy to see why since “some bonds can’t be explained, only felt,” as the flavor text explains.

12. Arena Rector (Retro Frame Foil) – Secret Lair Drop Bonus Card

Market Price: $95.46

The newest card on this list was only recently revealed as part of the Humans bonus sheet from various 2026 Secret Lair Drops.

A fun riff on the Urzas Destiny classic Academy Rector, which just missed out as the 16th-most valuable Cleric card, this one seeks out a planeswalker instead of an enchantment upon its demise.

11. Yuna, Hope of Spira (Chocobo Track Foil Card) – Final Fantasy Chocobo Bundle

Market Price: $96.50

Everyone’s favorite Human Cleric from Final Fantasy nabs three slots herein, with this version being the newest card available. Exclusive to the Final Fantasy Chocobo Bundle that released in early December 2025, this Yuna card boasts one-off artwork as well as the bundle-exclusive “Chocobo Track Foil” finish, of which two cards with such a finish were found therein.

Due to that exclusivity as well as the overall scarcity of the Bundle, it’s no surprise that this card teeters on the brink of the $100 price point. Everybody loves Yuna.

10. Shadowborn ApostleSecret Lair Drop Bonus Card

Market Price: $98.19

Unsurprisingly, another gorgeous Shadowborn Apostle bonus card is found herein, this time with artwork by renowned comic artist Jakub Rebelka, the only card he has ever illustrated for Magic (and hopefully not the last).

9. Zoraline, Cosmos Caller (Japanese Raised Foil Anime Card) – Bloomburrow

Market Price: $116.69

Bloomburrow’s Japanese Raised Foil Anime Cards are among the most adorable from a set known for being incredibly cute thanks to nose-crinklingly precious anthropomorphized woodland critters ranging from Frogs, Mice, Lizards, and, with Zoraline and others, Bats.

This Bat typal-enabling legendary Orzhov () Bat Cleric wants you to be playing an aggressive strategy, which is good, because her enters and attack triggers are both tailored to such strategies. Even if you lose some Bats along the way, she can pull them back from the ‘yard for a measly and two life. Thanks, Z!

8. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed (Retro Frame Foil) – Zippy Zombies Secret Lair Bonus Sheet

Market Price: $124.26

An amazing combo-enabler thanks to providing the rare undying keyword to all non-Human creatures you control, this powerhouse Zombie Cleric originally found in 2012’s Dark Ascension is an amazing typal piece, especially in dedicated Zombie Cleric builds.

Beyond being among the most valuable Zombie cards of all time, Mikaeus is a prominent figure in the Magic storylines related to Avacyn, running from 2011 to 2014.

7. Yuna, Hope of Spira (Surge Foil Borderless Character Card) – Final Fantasy

Market Price: $141.71

Oh, what the heck, I have plenty of duplicates on this list already, so what’s one more!?

As has been seen among Angels and Wizards, the Surge Foil Borderless Character cards from 2025’s Final Fantasy are among the highest-dollar cards from that set, with powerful cards featuring extremely popular characters, like Yuna, fetching the highest price tags.

6. Liliana, Heretical Healer // Liliana, Defiant Necromancer  – San Diego Comic-Con 2015

Market Price: $147.04

Exclusive to the 2015 rendition of San Diego Comic-Con, this strikingly monochromatic version of the transforming Liliana card actually predated her official release in 2015’s Magic Origins.

Unsurprisingly, due to Liliana’s popularity among the Magic fan base, this card is worth well over $60 more than the next-most valuable card from the release: Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh.

5. Shadowborn Apostle (Extended Art/Step-and-Compleat Foil) – Showcase: All Will Be One Step-And-Compleat Edition Secret Lair Drop Bonus Card

Market Price: $150.54

Much like Virulent Sliver among the most valuable Slivers, this version of Shadowborn Apostle boasts the tattered, rusty-looking Phyrexian logo embossed onto the card’s artwork.

This version of the Apostle looks as if it’s listened to The Cure a lot or was reading through Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman before getting ready for the day.

4. Angus MackenzieLegends

Market Price: $217.15

Sometimes, cards with a random dude’s name are worth over $200 on the secondary market, though it helps if they’re over 30 years old. While there were an utterly minuscule number of Legends cards inserted into select Dominaria United Collector Boosters, it’s more likely that longtime Magic players held onto this Bant () Human Cleric in the hopes it would one day be worth a fortune… and they were right!

Despite his Fog-style activated ability, in Magic’s underlying story, Angus was killed by Lady Orca, which is surprising considering she’s a 7/4 vanilla creature for .

3. Yuna, Grand Summoner (Surge Foil Borderless Character Card) – Final Fantasy Commander

Market Price: $233.58

The final Yuna card on this list is the Borderless Character version of the Final Fantasy Commander-only Yuna, Grand Summoner. This Bant Yuna has a dynamite activated ability that requires no mana investment, and her triggered ability gives you a semi-The Ozolith style effect.

Combine this Human Cleric with a plethora of +1/+1 counters cards, like Cathars' Crusade, Michelangelo, Weirdness to 11, Hardened Scales, or, more thematically, Sazh's Chocobo for the full impact of her powerhouse dual abilities.

2. Firja, Judge of Valor (Serialized Multiverse Legends) – March of the Machine

Market Price: $244.59

One of the most valuable Angels of all time also happens to be an Orzhov Cleric, meaning this strikingly illustrated card weighs in very highly among the most valuable Clerics of all time, too.

Surprisingly, this is the only serialized card herein, but apparently Clerics don’t get that treatment as often as some other creature types across Magic’s history.

1. Shadowborn ApostleLook at the Kitties Secret Lair Drop Bonus Card

Market Price: $390.38

The most valuable Cleric card of all time also happens to be one of the most valuable Secret Lair bonus cards ever as well, and this card’s value is easy to parse.

For one, it’s from a popular cat-themed Secret Lair Drop that occurred roughly four years ago. Secondly, randomly inserted bonus cards from Secret Lairs always warrant a premium, and third: due to the possibility of including any number of Shadowborn Apostles in your decks, this card is worth a lot even in its base printing. So, even a $400 does seem logical in the wild, wooly world of TCG collecting.

Some Clerical Business

And there you have it. While Alpha’s Samite Healer is surprisingly absent, the most valuable Cleric cards of all time seem to make sense. Do you have any of these striking Clerics? Let us know in the comments and thanks for reading. Until next time!
