Sphere of Influence: January 24, 2025

Welcome to Sphere of Influence, a pre-FNM look at some potential movers and shakers that are worth picking up before their prices increase.
Preview season for Aetherdrift has started, reminding us that the serenity achieved by the quiet of the last few months has come to a screeching halt. Let's take a look at some Standard players worth picking up at achievable prices:
Questing Druid
This Swiss Army Gruul creature has become a staple of aggro strategies in Standard, and $2 feels right for this level of flexibility in a Zoo deck. The card is one of the better Adventures to come out of Wilds of Eldraine, as well.
Tishana's Tidebinder
Control benefits greatly from packing a pair of Tidebinders to throw opponents off tempo. When the card held potential for Modern, it spiked all the way up to $20 before beginning its unwavering decline to $4, where it sits now. There has never been a better time!
Leyline of Resonance
This lesser-appreciated Leyline, which shows up in Standard aggro, contains tons of potential in Commander, where Voltron strategies can fully leverage the card. For now, $0.25 feels appropriate, just in case.
Knight-Errant of Eos
Few cards in white dig as deeply into your deck as Knight-Errant, and its ease-of-casting makes me feel like it hasn't quite yet seen its day in the sun. Picking one up for $2 is appropriate.
Arriving Standard
Has anyone found their new ride-or-die Standard deck in the new meta? What are you hoping to see in Aetherdrift? Let me know!
