Sphere of Influence: December 20, 2024

Welcome to Sphere of Influence, a pre-FNM look at some potential movers and shakers that are worth picking up before their prices increase.

As we close out our trip around the sun, let’s not forget the many other spherical objects that made their way into our hearts this year. Here are a few of my favorite spheres from 2024.

Honorable mention: Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd

Phelia is the goodest girl in the multiverse even if her tiny sphere necklace leaves something to the imagination.

10. Glitch Interpreter

This bright and shiny sphere remains partially obscured by little sausage fingers. Hope it doesn’t smudge.

9. Getaway Glamer

A scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey crab monster remake.

8. Polygraph Orb

This one looks easy to palm and, therefore, dunk.

7. Stormcatch Mentor

It ain’t a sphere party until an otter in the background loses their dang mind.

6. Fomori Vault

Viewable from space via Google Thunder Junction.

5. Guardian of the Forgotten

A sparkly mace almost as menacing as the accompanying pick axe.

4. Eviscerator’s Insight

Luminescent; not suitable for evening stealth missions.

3. Coruscation Mage

A few extra mana gets you another Otter and sphere - and completes a single pair of glasses.

2. Simulacrum Synthesizer

On a solemn search for a hat that fits.

1. Otterball Antics

Nothing could love a sphere more.
